My my My my
Welcome to the 2018-2019 Season!

President's Message...

We're excited to open the doors to Hamill once again to start the 45th season of the Blues!

Even though its 97 degrees outside today before Labor Day Weekend, the Greenwich Blues Board, Officers, Coaches and Vounteers are hard at work bringing together all of the pieces to make another legendary hockey season possible.

Rosters, schedules, jerseys, practice plans  are all ready for our Blues players and parents.  We're thrilled to build on the success of last year with two Blues teams capturing State Championships!

I'm honored to take over the reigns as President of the Blues and would like to thank Larry Sullivan, the Immediate Past President who I worked with closely to bring the Blues into a new era of development hockey.

I look forward to seeing old friends again around the boards, and to meeting our new Blues family players and parents as the season kicks off!

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Shot, score!

Keith Orrico, President, Greenwich Blues Hockey Association (GBHA)

GREENWICH, CT - April 2016

The Greenwich Blues Hockey Association is excited to announce that former NY Ranger great, defenseman Tom Laidlaw (b April 1958) has been appointed Chief Coach of the Greenwich Blues Hockey organization.  Laidlaw, of whom NY Islanders legendary coach Al Arbour  said "He almost never makes a mistake," will have the primary responsibility of building the Blues player development program through improvements to internal structure and development of the coaching staff.

Laidlaw will focus on coaching techniques and ice utilization, and to build a formidable coaching staff.

Laidlaw, born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada first came to US hockey fans attention during his 4 seasons playing at Northern Michigan University. Between 1979 and 1991 he played for the NY Rangers and LA Kings.

Laidlaw was selected to the All-NCAA tournament team in 1980. He also was CCHA First All-Star in 1979 and 1980.  During his first 4 seasons in the NHL he played in 320 games, missing only two games.

After his stellar NHL career Laidlaw went on to become a prominent NHL player's agent and entrepreneur.

The Greenwich Blues Hockey Association is a lower Fairfield county organization with teams at all age levels from U8, U10, U12 and U14.  Both boys and girls are selected from the Connecticut and Westchester communities based on a competitive tryout format solely based on player ability.

The Blues season runs from early September through mid-March where they play against teams from throughout CT and the entire northeast region, including tournaments at Lake Placid and other sites in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusets,
